Reedsport is located on U.S. Highway 101 in the center of the Dunes recreation area, near the mouth of the Umpqua River. Winchester Bay is a small town built next to Salmon Harbor and is the center of the Oregon Coasts largest sports deep sea fishing fleet. One of the largest rivers between the Columbia River and San Francisco Bay the Umpqua ends at Salmon Bay.
The vast dunes of Reedsport stretch 40 miles from the mouth of the Siuslaw River to Coos Bay. Visitors can enjoy 30 freshwater lakes and 40 miles of hiking trails. Almost half of the area is open to ATVs making it a great place to spend time riding dunes with the family.
