Deerbrook is a 3000 square ft. brand new luxury ski house located 17 miles west of Wolf Creek Ski Area, one of the oldest ski areas in the state, established in 1939, with an average of 465 inches of snow, the most in Colorado. Everything in this house is brand new.Construction was completed in 2008/2009. THIS IS ONE OF THE CLOSEST RENTAL HOUSES TO WOLF CREEK SKI AREA AND THE CONTINENTAL DIVIDE.
Deerbrook is situated on 1/2 acre in upscale San Juan River Village on the side of Jackson Mountain at about 7950 ft. elevation, near the Continental Divide. Deerbrook is great for big families or reunions. It sleeps up to 11 people in 4 bedrooms with 3 full baths and has many luxury features such as all tile and hardwood floors, granite countertops, gourmet kitchen with Energy Star appliances plus a second kitchen. There is seating for 12 in the 2 dining areas. Two full size dishwashers make cleanup a breeze.
Living room has wood burning fireplace, all leather and solid wood furniture, wide screen LCD TV, DVD, CD player and Dish Network. Second kitchen and den area has an aditional LCD TV. There is a full size washer and dryer. Free local and domestic long distance phone service.
First downstairs bedroom has queen bed. Second downstairs bedroom has twin over double bunk bed.
Upstairs master bedroom is almost 500 square ft. and has queen bed and twin bed with attached full bath. Second upstairs master bedroom is also almost 500 square ft. and has king bed, twin bed, attached bath and view of Squaretop Mountain. All beds have Sealy firm mattresses and 400 thread count sheets. All furniture is solid wood.
Both ends of the house have covered porches, great for relaxing and enjoying the abundant wildlife and gas barbeque.
Vacation green in this super insulated (R55) house that features a ultra efficient nautral gas boiler that provides wonderful in floor heat throughout the house plus unlimited hot water. All windows and exterior doors are insulated low E glass. Deerbrook uses 1/2 of the energy of a conventional house this size. Deerbrook received over 300 inches of snow at in 2008. Nearby winter activities, in addition to skiing and snowboarding include snowmobiling, cross country skiing, sledding, ice skating and horse drawn sleigh rides.
Pagosa Springs is 7 miles west of Deerbrook and has lots of shops and restaurants. Also check out The Springs with 18 soaking pools fed by hot mineral water and The Spa with a 25 meter hot springs pool, sauna,and indoor hot springs. After a big day on the mountain, a massage and soak feel great.
Nearby summer activities include hiking, biking, whitewater rafting, the 27 hole Pagosa Springs Championship Golf Course,fishing, horseback riding and ancient Indian ruins all overlooking the spectacular 13,500 ft. Continental Divide that runs through the edge of town.
Rates are $175 per night, 3 night minimum for all dates except high season. High season is the Christmas/New Year's weeks and Spring Break (usually the first 2 or 3 weeks of March.) High season is $225 per night 7 night minimum. May, September and October are $150 per night. All rates are plus 8.8% tax and $150 cleaning fee. Rate includes up to 11 people. Additional people are $25 per night per person.
