Manzanita is a coastal city located in Tillamook County, Oregon. It is situated on Route 101 about 25 miles south of Seaside, Oregon and 25 miles north of Tillamook. The population according to a 2000 census was estimated at 564 residents.

Manzanita, Oregon, a calm, serene township situated in Tillamook County on the northern portion or the Oregon Coast. Manzanita was incorporated as a city in 1946. The name means "little apple" in Spanish and relates to the fruit of the local area.

Manzanita is located two hours west of Portland via Highway 26. As costal cities are concerned it is 13 miles south of Cannon Beach and 25 miles north of Tillamook on Highway 101.

The population of Manzanita has a median age is 52.  As of 1990 there were an estimated 686 housing units. Many of the houses permanent residents are only part timers as a major commercial driving force is second homes and vacation rentals. Manzanita vacation rentals and vacation homes are a very popular means of accommodation while visiting the Oregon Coast.
